Refund Policy

Your Rights Under UK Law

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you have a 14-day cooling-off period for most online purchases. This policy outlines your rights and our refund procedures.

1. 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

For most purchases, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving any reason. This is in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

To exercise your right to cancel:

  • Contact us within 14 days of receiving your order
  • Clearly state your intention to cancel
  • Provide your order number and contact details
  • Return the item(s) within 14 days of notifying us

2. Refund Eligibility

To be eligible for a refund, items must be:

  • In their original condition, unused and uninstalled
  • In original packaging where possible
  • Returned with proof of purchase
  • Free from damage caused after delivery

We reserve the right to reduce the refund amount if the item shows signs of use beyond what is necessary to establish the nature and characteristics of the goods.

3. Non-Refundable Items

The following items are not eligible for refund under the cooling-off period:

  • Custom-sourced parts: Parts specifically sourced for your order through our sourcing service
  • Special order items: Parts ordered specifically at your request that are not part of our standard stock
  • Installed parts: Parts that have been fitted to a vehicle
  • Electrical components: Once removed from sealed packaging (for safety reasons)
  • Cut or modified parts: Items that have been cut, modified, or altered
  • Fluids and consumables: Oils, lubricants, and other consumable products once opened

4. Faulty or Damaged Goods

If you receive goods that are faulty, damaged, or not as described, you have additional rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015:

  • Within 30 days: Full refund for faulty goods
  • Within 6 months: Repair, replacement, or refund (we may attempt repair first)
  • After 6 months: You must prove the fault was present at delivery

For faulty items, we will cover the cost of return shipping. Please contact us before returning any faulty items so we can arrange collection or provide a prepaid label.

5. Auction Purchases

Special conditions apply to items purchased through our auction system:

  • Auction purchases are binding contracts once the auction ends
  • The 14-day cooling-off period still applies to auction purchases
  • Items sold "as seen" or "for parts" are sold in their described condition
  • Refunds for auction items are only available if the item is significantly not as described
  • Minor variations from photos or descriptions do not qualify for refunds

6. Used Parts

For used/second-hand parts:

  • Parts are sold in their described condition
  • Normal wear consistent with the described condition is not grounds for refund
  • Refunds are available if the part is significantly different from the description
  • We recommend checking compatibility before installation

7. Return Shipping

Return shipping responsibilities:

  • Change of mind: Customer pays return shipping costs
  • Faulty/damaged goods: We pay return shipping costs
  • Wrong item sent: We pay return shipping costs
  • Not as described: We pay return shipping costs

Items must be returned using a tracked shipping service. We are not responsible for items lost in return transit if tracking is not used.

8. Refund Process

Once we receive your returned item:

  1. We will inspect the item within 3 business days
  2. You will be notified of the refund decision by email
  3. Approved refunds are processed within 5 business days
  4. Refunds are issued to the original payment method
  5. Bank processing may take an additional 5-10 business days

9. Partial Refunds

Partial refunds may be issued in the following circumstances:

  • Item returned in a condition different from how it was received
  • Missing parts, accessories, or packaging
  • Signs of use beyond inspection
  • Damage caused during return shipping (if not adequately packaged)

10. Membership Subscriptions

For membership subscription refunds:

  • Cancel within 14 days of initial subscription for a full refund
  • No refunds for partial months after the 14-day period
  • Unused tokens/credits are not refundable
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period

11. Sourcing Service Refunds

For our part sourcing service:

  • No Find, No Fee: If we cannot source your part, no fee is charged
  • Sourcing fees are non-refundable once a part has been sourced and accepted
  • If a sourced part is faulty, standard refund policies apply to the part cost
  • Sourcing fees may be refunded if the part is significantly not as quoted

12. Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges. If you need a different item, please return the original item for a refund and place a new order for the replacement.

13. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please contact us with:

  • Your order number
  • The item(s) you wish to return
  • Reason for the return
  • Photos of any damage or faults (if applicable)

14. Your Statutory Rights

This refund policy does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law. You may have additional rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
